“MIDDLE RIVER, Md.- A 22 year old registered sex offender is being held on half a million dollars bond after he was charged with raping a 12-year-old girl on a camping trip.
Baltimore County police say it happened in April near the Bengies Drive-In on Eastern Boulevard in Middle River.
The girl’s teacher went to authorities after she heard two of the girl’s classmates discussing the alleged rape.
Investigators say the girl went on a camping trip with Keith Robinson with the permission of her guardian. She told investigators that when she refused to have sex with Robinson, he took her to a wooded area, where he sexually assaulted and raped her.
She said she tried to resist and he told her that if she ever told anyone, he would kill her.
Robinson is charged with second-degree rape, second-degree child abuse and second-degree child sex offense.
He was convicted in 2005 of third-degree sex offense involving a 13-year-old girl.”
